If you can prove your marriage was entered into in good faith, you can petition on your own to remove the conditions of your permanent resident status once your two-year anniversary arrives.

Most green cardholders can only file for citizenship after five years. Those who are married to US citizens have the ability to do so after three provided the applicant has held the green card for three years, the US citizen has been a citizen for three years, and the couple has been living together constantly during the three-year period. There's nothing to do.  No one will prevent you from leaving.  However, if you overstayed 1 year or more, when you leave, you will trigger the 10-year bar, which means you cannot return to the U.S. for 10 years.  Also, your visa(s) will automatically be revoked.
