Do I need to submit an I-864 as well even though I'm not sponsoring him and will I also have to pay the $400 fee as well as my parents?

It's like doing a complicated tax return by yourself. I definitely do not recommend it. If you are trying to get your husband a green card and you are a U.S.A citizen, you are required to file an I-864, even if your income is zero. It makes no sense, but that's how they interpret the law. And, if your dad is kind enough to do an I-864 too, that's great.

Can I get married if my boyfriend doesn't have any papers and how can I help my boyfriend to get papers?

Answered by attorney Phong Thanh Tran (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Law Office of Pho Ethan Tran, PLLC
You can get married in most jurisdictions as long as you both have valid IDs. To help your spouse get his papers, at a minimum you will need to submit an I-130 petition on his behalf. Depending on the circumstances of his case, he may need to file one or more waivers also.

What will happen if I am on an F1 visa and was arrested?

Answered by attorney William D. Fong (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Fong Ilagan
Visa issuance will depend on the exact charge and the maximum sentence that could have been imposed, not the actual sentence. Get a complete copy of the charging document, court order and case disposition, then consult with an attorney experienced in your state.
