If I am 18, is it possible for me to get my residency the same time my mom is getting hers?

Answered by attorney Olesia Gorinshteyn
Immigration lawyer at Gorinshteyn Global, LLC
If your mother's marriage to a U.S. citizen occurred before your 18-th birthday, then you are eligible to adjust your status (obtain permanent residency) through the same U.S. citizen. However, if the marriage occurred after the 18-th birthday then you won't be able to benefit from your mother's marriage. Retain an immigration attorney to help you resolve this issue.

Can I enter the Us after recently exiting if I have a B2 Visa?

Brian D Lerner
Answered by attorney Brian D Lerner (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Law Offices of Brian D. Lerner
It is your intention at the time of entry which really will determine entry. Thus, the more often you enter, the less likely they will believe that you will just be entering to visit. *B2 Visitor Visa Application* A Visitor Visa will have to be obtained. My firm prepares the application and then sends it directly to the applicant who will then take it to the U.S. Consulate or Embassy for a decision. If done correctly, the issuance of this visa could take less than one month after it is completed.

Which would be faster to get my siblings into the US, if I, as a US citizen, or one of my parents, as a green card holder, petition for them?

Answered by attorney David Nabow Soloway
Immigration lawyer at Kennedy, Nalepa & Soloway, P.C.
A U.S. citizen may petition for a sibling in the Family-Based Fourth Preference visa category. There is a very long backlog for visas in that category - for a newly filed case it may take 15 - 20 years or even longer for a visa to become available (notwithstanding that the Visa Bulletin appears to indicate a shorter time), and so it is quite rare for that to be a desirable visa strategy. There are many details that can determine the amount of time it would take for a parent to sponsor a child. There really is no substitute for you and your family to consult with an immigration attorney who, after learning all of the relevant information, could advise about eligibilities, options, and strategies to attain your goals, and who then could offer legal representation in the often complex application process.
