I did not maintain my F-1 Visa status, by staying enrolled in school. I would like to re-enroll. can i go back to school. If i do what will happen?

You can ask for reinstatement within 5 months of you losing your status if you have not engaged in unlawful employment and have a good reason for falling out of status.  Otherwise, you must return to your home country to apply for a new F-1 visa to return to the U.S. for college. Good luck, Mark J. Curley

Yes, of course. There are limitations on how long you can stay out, but a roundtrip ticket is not required.

I live in houston, TX and I have a job in mcallen tx that i would like to do, can i travel to mcallen and back to houston with my ead card and a TX ID

Passing immigration checkpoints with only an EAD card and a Texas ID may be tempting fate. Border patrol officers sometimes have a different idea from USCIS officers concerning the worth of an EAD card and whether persons are amenable to removal proceedings despite having one.
