How long will it take a green card holder to bring his wife to the USA?

Answered by attorney Kevin L. Dixler

This is unclear. It may take upwards of a year depending upon the thoroughness of the filing, the USCIS processing time, the National Visa Center processing time, and the U. S. Embassy's processing time. Sometimes, petitions require additional evidence, are denied and this results in additional delays, perhaps denial or revocation. Good luck.

What are the procedures of changing my last name?

You will need to file a petition with your local civil court to legally change your name. After you have received a court order changing your name, you can apply for a replacement resident card with your new name. Or, you can also change your name when you apply for naturalization. The second option is less complicated.
