That depends on the actual statute you would be pleading to and its related punishment scheme.  Your lawyer to consult with an immigration attorney to properly advise you about the immigration consequences of your plea.  Your case will require individual analysis.

Can my son come to the US if he has his birth certificate and social security card but doesn’t know English?

Answered by attorney Phong Thanh Tran (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Law Office of Pho Ethan Tran, PLLC
If your son is a US citizen by birth, he should apply for his US passport at the nearest US consulate. After he receives his US passport, he should be able to cross the border without any problems even if he doesn't speak English and has been out for more than 17 years.
