What will happen at my I-360 interview if I have separated from my husband?

When you go to the interview explain all this to the officer, and make sure to take all the evidence with you.

What would be the best thing to do regarding the interview?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
It is important not to lie. If the information on the immigration forms is not 100% truthful you should get them re-done with the trust about employment, residences, etc. and submit at the interview. You are paying the penalty fee for being out of status and this would cover working without authorization as well. Review all forms carefully and have your lawyer correct prior to the interview and explain you do not understand the questions asked for all employment not just employment that was authorized.

In looking at the UCLA extension programs, the school's FAQ's state that the courses can be taken by individuals with college degrees or those without. It does not appear that the program yields a degree. If you already have a related degree at the bachelors or Masters level in accounting or management, you may qualify under the TN visa as an accountant or management consultant if there is an organization requiring those services.  Other than through sponsorship, the options are usually continuing F-1 schooling in a degree program requesting OPT or CPT, immigrating through family sponsorship, or seeking nonimmigrant or immigrant status through investment.Due to the limitations of the Lawyers.com Forums, Alan Lee, Esq.'s (the "Firm") participation in responding to questions posted herein does not constitute legal advice, nor legal representation of the person or entity posting a question.
