You can start to fix his papers by submitting an I-130 relative petition on his behalf with USCIS. It takes approximately 1 year to process the petition and to apply for an immigrant visa through the Department of State before your husband's visa interview will be scheduled at the US consulate in Juarez.

After you are married, you will need to file Form I-130 and eventually Form I-485 with the supporting documents. Depending on how your fiance entered the U.S., he may have to go through consular processing.
