How long do I have to wait to get the US visa category f4 and our priority date is Jan. 01th 2001?

Answered by attorney Louis M. Piscopo
Immigration lawyer at Law Offices of Louis M. Piscopo, APLC
It will take approximately 11 years if you are from any country other than Mexico or the Philippines. For those two countries the wait is 15 to 20 years. Since your petition was filed in January 2001, you will have to wait another 1 or 2 years before your priority date is current, if you not from Mexico or the Philippines. If you you were physically present in the US on December 20, 2000 and are in the U.S. now, you will be able to file for adjustment of status when the priority date is current.

What I be able to sponsor a fiancee visa if I am a naturalized citizen with a family and income?

Answered by attorney Patrick Lee Jarrett (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Jarrett & Price, LLC
Your income should not be a problem. The requirement is that you make over 125% of the poverty guidelines to sponsor him. As to the fact that you are both Filipinos does not matter.

How do I change status and what is the EAD validity?

Matthew Scott Kriezelman
Answered by attorney Matthew Scott Kriezelman (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Kriezelman Burton & Associates, LLC
You will remain in F-1 status until your I-485 is approved. You should also be receiving a new EAD card based on your pending I-485. A new I-765 should have been filed with the I-485 as it was included in the fee you paid. You can continue to work on that new EAD once you receive it. You should schedule an appointment with an experience immigration practitioner if you wish to learn more about the specific time frames.
