Would you recommend traveling abroad with Advance Parole?

Answered by attorney Alan Lee
Immigration lawyer at Alan Lee Arthur Lee, Attorneys at Law
If you have had no prior proceedings against you and if you obtained the advance parole under DA CA standards, I see no reason why you cannot use the advance parole which you now possess. You must of course ensure that you have a proper passport and if going to another country than your homeland that you have proper permission and if necessary visas to go to that country.Due to the limitations of the Lawyers.com Forums, Alan Lee, Esq.'s (the "Firm") participation in responding to questions posted herein does not constitute legal advice, nor legal representation of the person or entity posting a question. I entered US with C1 visa (had B2 , but on I94 was stamped C1), got married to US citizen, my application for adjustment of status was denied.

Answered by attorney Harun Kazmi
Immigration lawyer at Kazmi & Sakata
Hello. If you were a C1 cruise line employee, it was correctly denied. You will need to process through the US Embassy in your home country. You should have that local office forward the I-130 to the Embassy.

Designated Representative for N-648 Case

Answered by attorney Lelia Adams
Immigration lawyer at Essien Immigration Law, PLLC
Generally since your mother is currently her primary custodial caregiver and take responsibility for your sister the applicant is considered an authorized designated representative. She is in the States legally, is an LPR so there should not be an issue of representation.  Ensure attach document that establishes familial relationship between your sister and your mother as well as proof your mother is the primary custodial caregiver. I will strongly recommend you seek representation from an attorney  who can assist in reviewing and assemblying your application for you as he/she will assist you with confidence and all adequate pieces of evidence plus more.
