Yes the sponsor needs to complete the affidavit of support and if you dont have sufficient income, then you must engage a joint financial sponsor. Anyone can act as a joint sponsor provided they have either a green card or have US citizenship. You should retain counsel to handle all steps from A to Z to make sure the case is processed without delays or problems. Counsel in any state can represent you.

You should file a motion with proof that you responded timely. There is no appeal from the denial of an I-485, but if your case is referred to immigration court, you can file the case there without additional fees.

Your husband is still required to file I-864 as the primary sponsor, even though he has no income or only unemployment income. You also need a joint sponsor, a US citizen or permanent resident, whose income will be sufficient for that joint sponsor to support his/her own dependents (as they appear on that sponsor's tax return), plus support your daughter.
