Douglas Martinson II has been a cornerstone of Huntsville's legal landscape since 1990, when he joined Martinson & Beason, P.C. A third-generation Huntsville High graduate, Doug focuses on estate planning, probate, guardianship, elder law, and corporate planning. An alumnus of the University of Alabama with a Finance degree, his involvement in student government and prestigious honors societies set the stage for a career marked by leadership. Doug earned his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law, serving as President of the Student Bar Association. Beyond legal practice, Doug has impacted his community profoundly—he helped secure $82 million for school enhancements and, as Rotary President, led a $75,000 medical initiative for a Guatemalan pediatric oncology hospital. A former NCAA hockey referee, Doug enjoys skiing, golf, and tennis. Together with his wife, Lauren, he supports their sons, Clay and Reed, who are continuing the family's tradition of community commitment and academic excellence.
