Justin Beckham arrived 26 minutes late for the appointment. He did not introduce himself, just sat down and started talking. I was not offered to meet in his office but at a table in a room open to the lobby. He was cold, disapproving of the will, completely out of touch. He exuded that I was interrupting his day and that he just couldn't be bothered. He contradicted himself multiple times, including claiming that he knew the deceased. He changed his fee from $450-$5000 that I previously was quoted, to $10,000-$100,000, then after I told him the value of the property, he changed to wanting a percent of the estate. For a probate that already would be fighting greed, he got greedy in a hurry himself. It was one of the most disappointing appointments I've ever had, and I couldn't be more certain of my choice to NOT hire him.
I started out with one lawyer in the firm that didn’t really care about my case. My father had passed away, and my step-mother was taking everything. She was selling everything as quick as she could. I sent my own certified letter to stop her, and make her have a meeting. The lawyer acted like I was the bad guy and treated me horrible. She was the one that wasn’t following my fathers wishes. Her lawyer was nicer to me than Mr. Beckham. They had me pay $1500, and he said I would get back $500. When I got the invoice, he charged me $25 per email, just to show every cent was used.
