Not wanting to have a contentious divorce that was filed against me by Russell Ginn, I chose him having been referred to me because he was a Christian. I engaged with Mr. Bridgewater in 1986 to represent me; however, it turned out that he was a friend of Mr. Ginn's through the Union Baptist Association. When I learned that Mr. Ginn had received $750,000 payoff for a business that he sold, I alerted Mr. Bridgewater asking him to put a hold on that money which was community property. however, less than 6 weeks later, the money was not accounted for. As a result I questioned Mr. Bridgewater who provided the following response: "He needed that money for his business." To say that Mr. Bridgewater failed to properly represent me is not sufficient to describe the struggle I have endured over the last 37 years as it was told to me by Mr. Ginn in 1984 that we had a net worth of $3.5M. I saw no more than $300,000 which he acknowledged to one of our sons.
