Kenneth Y. Sugita is a Senior Partner in the law firm. He commenced his engineering career in 1964 as a civil engineer with the California Division of Bay Toll Crossings in San Francisco, California, where he worked during the summers of 1964 and 1965 on the design team for the superstructure of the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, crossing San Francisco Bay.

Mr. Sugita earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1966, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He received his training in taxation at the graduate program of New York University School of Law, where he received his Master of Laws (LLM) Degree in Taxation in 1969.
Mr. Sugita's legal career commenced in 1966, when he was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Hawaii. After completing his military justice and military procurement practice while on active duty, Mr. Sugita commenced his civilian legal career in 1969, when he joined the Honolulu law firm of Cades, Schutte, Fleming & Wright. In 1971, Mr. Sugita joined and helped to form the law firm that later was to become Kobayashi, Sugita & Goda.

Mr. Sugita was born August 25, 1940 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is a member of the Waialae Country Club. To pursue his interest in food and wine, Mr. Sugita is a member of Chaine des Rotisseurs and Conferrie St. Vincente.
