About Paula Wetstein

Ms. Wetstein received her Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. During her tenure at law school, Ms. Wetstein was a member of Touro’s Law Review, on the Dean’s List and the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Writing.

Ms. Wetstein has substantial knowledge and extensive experience in the fields of commercial and civil litigation, personal injury litigation, general civil practice and in commercial and residential real estate transactions. During her twenty-seven years in practice, Ms. Wetstein has represented numerous businesses, lending institutions and individuals in diverse and complex legal matters in both state and federal courts, including mortgage foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings, shareholder and partnership disputes, enforcement of contract rights, and lender liability issues. She has also successfully handled numerous real property actions involving title, easement rights, restrictive covenants, zoning and environmental issues.

Ms. Wetstein is admitted to practice in the state of New York and the District of Columbia, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Ms. Wetstein received her Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. During her tenure at law school, Ms. Wetstein was a member of Touro’s Law Review, on the Dean’s List and the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Writing.

Among some her most notable legal achievements, Ms. Wetstein successfully defended the family owners and operators of a long established East Hampton business against claims by a neighboring land owner, which highly publicized case was highlighted in a New York Times article. In addition, Ms. Wetstein was instrumental in the negotiation of a large settlement for a surviving spouse of a deceased partner in a lengthy business dispute involving his equity interest in a marina business and related real estate holdings.

She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association and member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association and American Bar Association.
