About Zachary M. Dunn

As your counselor, I work tirelessly to provide you with the legal resources and insight needed to achieve an outcome that best serves you.

Zachary Dunn prides himself on fostering collaborative relationships with his clients, large and small, to help each achieve their desired outcome. He focuses primarily on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, as well as first party property and third party liability matters. His practice further includes Criminal Defense, in which he blends negotiation with aggressive trial tactics to secure favorable outcomes for clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges.

Throughout his young legal career, Zach has worked alongside prosecutors, public defenders, and a federal judge. Prior to joining Halloran Sage, he clerked at the Connecticut Appellate Court for the Honorable Michael R. Sheldon. Zach’s diverse background has provided him a deep understanding of the law, and trained him to identify and zealously pursue a variety of complex and nuanced legal issues on his clients’ behalf.

Zach continues to give back to the community, providing pro bono legal services to veterans seeking housing and financial assistance through the Connecticut Veteran’s Legal Center. He also volunteers at Quinnipiac University, where he has coached both the undergraduate and law school mock trial competition teams.

While attending Quinnipiac University School of Law, Zach graduated summa cum laude, served as a Publication Editor of the Law Review, and was highly successful in Mock Trial. He was named Best Overall Advocate at the 2015 Judge Paul Joseph Kelly, Jr. Invitational Trial Competition and was the first Quinnipiac student to compete in the nation’s most prestigious trial competition, Baylor University’s Top Gun National Mock Trial Competition. Zach also received several awards for outstanding oral advocacy and contributions to the Law School, as well as Quinnipiac’s 2016 Arnold J. Bai Award, awarded to the student demonstrating the most promise in litigation and trial work.
