The letter mischaracterized standard lease provisions and appeared designed to intimidate rather than inform — a tactic that’s both ethically questionable and legally weak. If the goal was to assert authority, it failed. Sound legal counsel should be grounded in enforceable law, not hollow threats disguised as policy. Strongly recommend due diligence before retaining.
