Hired Attorney Michael Montgomery

Mike has his own way of working through the divorce and custody process... it’s diligent and well thought out. I just went through a 10 month divorce and custody process and he got me an amazing outcome. Very grateful. Let this guy take the reins and he will get you where you need to be!

I hired Mr. Montgomery to assist me with my revised parenting plan. My case was not easy. There were many bumps along the way. He stayed positive and keep me in the loop of issues that came up and we mutually came to an agreement on how we should proceed. He is very informative and gave me confidence that he was by my side at every step. My case is final. And I know if any other issues come up he will go to bat for me.

Hired Attorney Michael Montgomery

Mike is a very compassionate attorney. He took on my family law case after I attempted to represent myself. Mike made a great first impression when we first met by asking me to name two positives about my ex. He took the time to understand what the family dynamics were before the divorce and after the divorce. He is confident, knowledgeable and educated in the fields he practices in. There are no true winners in a custody battle, Mike made sure the best interest of my children were his priority.

I would strongly warn anyone who is not involved in a criminal case to avoid this lawyer. He is wonderful as long as you let him do whatever it is he wants. If however you want any control over your case he is not the one. He will get you all worked up for a battle but in the end he will only neutralize. I did much of the work myself on my case. He took all of the credit. In the end it was me and my x husband who worked out the fine details. As long as you don’t question his methods he is fine and fairly good in a trial. He is however impulsive and a bit of a flake. I almost felt revictimized by him. I made the mistake of calling him back when my x did not follow the rules of the parenting plan for help. He told me he would help me and got me all geared up for a battle just to turn around and say you need to pay me everything you owe first. So the divorce decree really isn’t worth the paper it is written on. Don’t be sucked into his web. He will tell you everything you want to hear and only put effort in when he wants. He also does not return phone calls for days. He gives you his personal number but won’t answer. He does text on occasion but that too is spotty. He does not use email and this makes other lawyers working with him irritated. They do have trouble getting a hold of him and he will purposely duck their calls. He actively talked to my x without his lawyer present on more than one occasion. I wasn’t present either. I almost felt like he worked more for my x towards the end than for me. I don’t trust that he looks out for your better interests. His way or no way. My lawyer is supposed to work for me and I am supposed to have my wishes followed. He also inconsistently has a paralegal working for him. I am not saying he is a bad lawyer, I am saying inconsistent and you have no control when dealing with him. He also gets outside people involved in your case that actually turn out to be detrimental in the long run. He gave me some really bad advice and didn’t tell the court I was moving and it hurt me at the hearing. He gave me some twisted story as to why. He does not take responsibility for his mistakes. He did take my case when I had no one and was great till I got back into the groove of things. He does give credit for forward steps you make. He however is a my way or the highway type person and will dump a client if they don’t do exactly his plans and he makes it clear he is not a yes man.
