I retained Lee Anne LeBlanc to draft and oversee a licensing agreement with a California based company. A very important clause she indicated in the draft was the licensor was to obtain and maintain an insurance policy and provide evidence of said policy within 30 days of the signed agreement. Apparently, Lee Anne failed to make a notation on her calendar as a reminder. In short, her over sight resulted in a contractual breach which went undetected. Fast forward a year and a half after the breach, the licensor requested the original agreement be amended . Lee Anne did so and once again, failed to catch the breached insurance policy requirement. This was a critical misstep by Lee Anne and had she caught this early on, it may have resulted in a different outcome. I am pointing this out to aid future make an informed choice when seeking counsel. I caught this error myself after pouring over the documents, and I'm confident Ms. LeBlanc is completely unaware of her omission.
