Bill Hall is a director in the Central Virginia office of Hancock, Daniel, Johnson & Nagle, P.C. Mr. Hall's practice is focused on healthcare law, with an emphasis on business, tax and operational concerns of healthcare providers. Mr. Hall has been involved in the structuring of various transactions to comply with federal and state regulatory requirements pertaining to healthcare facilities and providers, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, anti-trust laws, HIPAA, Stark II, the Federal Anti-Kickback statute, and other fraud and abuse laws.
Mr. Hall frequently advises clients on information technology contracts, the organization and development of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions involving health care businesses, and other health care transactions. Mr. Hall represents group practices, hospitals, and physicians in the preparation and negotiation of physician recruitment and employment agreements. He frequently represents clients in preparation and negotiation of physician staffing agreements and other service and supply agreements for health care organizations. Mr. Hall also advises clients on the development of accountable care organizations, and provider alignment and integration. He also regularly works with clients on matters relating to medical information, including standards under HIPAA and confidentiality requirements, and establishment of and transition to electronic health record systems.
