The Workers Compensation Appeals Board is no exception. If you have an upcoming court hearing or deposition, please contact our office to confirm whether you will need to appear. In many cases your personal appearance at court will not be necessary. Medical Appointments If you have an upcoming medical appointment you should contact the doctor to confirm whether the appointment has been cancelled or rescheduled. Case Status Because of the limitations on activities imposed in California by the Governor, hearings in Workers Compensation cases are either being rescheduled or being heard telephonically. You should be aware these actions will not in any way compromise your case. It will not result in your “losing the case”. Your case will remain active. In the event your employer goes out of business the Workers’ Compensation Insurance policy in effect during your employment will remain in force. Workers compensation benefits are still available without regard to business closure. Again, we remain committed to providing the best possible representation.
