Stewart Herman is a Senior Transactional Attorney at Aero Law Center. In commercial aviation, Stewart has over 30 years experience in transactions including sales of off- lease aircraft, airframes and engines, operating leases, maintenance outsourcing contracts, multiple-lessee portfolio trades, and cutting-edge transactions such as the sale-leaseback and freighter-conversion financing for three Boeing 767-300ER passenger aircraft that was awarded the 2022 Airline Economics Freighter Finance Deal of the Year.
On the business-aircraft side, Stewart continues to represent aircraft owners, Part 135 charter operators and others, in aircraft trading, acquisitions of companies, and tax and other regulatory matters.
Stewart is a regular speaker at aviation conferences and is a working member of the International Registry Advisory Board, the body that writes regulations governing the transnational registry of sales, leases and other interests in aircraft.
Recently Stewart served as an expert witness in the litigation over hundreds of leased commercial aircraft that remain stranded in Russia.
