Mr. Gelety is a fantastic lawyer he is patient and helped me through a very hard time with the Police and Town trying to take my home under the current Florida forfeiture act which is in my opinion is Government extortion when it is your homestead. He communicated very well for a busy lawyer even with many questions I had. I highly recommend him.
While I can't fault the significant amount of effort Mr. Gelety put into my appeal, the main detractor was the near complete lack of communication with me, his paid client. I didn't even receive a phone call to discuss the results of the appeal hearing - everything was left to a very impersonal e-mail. The detail he put into the written brief was excellent, but his communication with me was severely lacking.
There was little if any communication from Mr. Gelety. He would not return calls or emails. He is a competent attorney as far as his work, but no communication skills to speak of.
