Since joining Walton Lantaff in March 2019, Brian Otero has developed a successful practice in insurance coverage, insurance defense and appellate law. He earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Juris Doctor from Barry University, graduating magna cum laude from the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law.
While in law school, he served as Lead Articles Editor for the Barry Law Review, worked as a research assistant to Professor Barry Dubner, participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program and acted as Senator for the Student Bar Association. He also interned with the Eleventh Circuit State Attorney’s Office, an early experience that both shaped his litigation perspective and sharpened his advocacy skills.
Mr. Otero’s approach to the law reflects a collaborative spirit and commitment to service that continues to inform his work today. He values preparation and consistency, bringing a measured approach to each stage of litigation and appeal.
