Jalen started my case with enthusiasm but as the case drew to a close the interest she initially displayed had significantly tapered off. In the end I was allowed to sign an agreement not realizing the significance of the document. This is something she should have pointed out before signing. Isn't this why we hire an attorney - to guide and provide answers to questions we don't know to ask? When I later inquired about this I was told the document was already filed and it was too late to do anything. Definitely would not recommend Jalen Toms or the firm she represented at the time, Kathrine Blackmon.
