This firm prepared the title when I sold my parents' home. First, the attorney indicated that there was no death record for my mother and indicated that I needed to file proof of her death before they could proceed with the title. Apparently they found it AFTER I gave them the Death Book number and page location. Next, I requested a morning closing as I had to drive over 150 miles each way, they scheduled 2 pm. Finally, they gave me an incorrect settlement check and asked me to return it.
Worst lawyer I have ever dealt with, no respect for his job or any other lawyer he is facing. Very unrepectful to me and my lawyer and his own client. If you use him don’t expect much. This so called lawyer made sure to drag this case out by the plaintiff and had no plans on resolving this case. They would not settle for over a year just adding one road block after another. He gives all lawyers a bad name if this is his way of helping the plantiff to settle a case. Would never respond when his client was given a proposal to settle. He told me three different times he would call me back with an answer after I made proposal, he lied and never did call back. He worked for the plaintiff but my lawyer had to do all the work. He never planned on trying to settle the case. He and the plaintiff file the case against me and would not settle until my lawyer had all he could take . This ended up costing me thousands of dollars because of Mr. Funkhousers inabilities to do the job.
