I had been told by another firm that I had no chance to get a good (fair) settlement. My ex said if he knew about Jacob he would have hired him first!

He understood what was important - the kids - even when I lost sight of that, and helped us settle on a great plan. It's been several months and my ex even agrees that things are working out due to Mr. Markin! Our g.a.l. (court appointed advocate) has also commented on how great he was. I did not get everything I first asked for, but got what I needed and the solution is much better for the kids (he was so honest with me!). Mr. Markin is probably the smartest person I have ever met, but is so humble and caring that you almost forget that. If all lawyers were like him, the profession would not have the reputation it does have. Bless you sir!

Working with Mr. Markin was amazing. He handled all of our issues as they arose, and worked toward a great and fair outcome. The empathy he shows is so critical when emotions arise, and the professionalism was great. Compared to the other sides attorneys, Mr. Markin stood head and shoulders above.
