There is no law in Georgia requiring that a Will be probated and there is no legal time limit to when a Will may be probated. It is, however, unlawful for someone in possession of a decedent's Will not to at least file it with the probate court.

In Idaho, she may need to go through a "summary administration where the surviving spouse is sole heir" to clear the title to the jointly held real estate; but that is a simple and inexpensive process.

The executor has one year to close the estate. Once all of the bills, taxes, etc. are paid off, then the bequests can be delivered, assuming there's anything left in the estate. If those debts aren't paid yet, you'll just have to wait a little longer before you can take possession of the property.
