How do I make amendments to a Revocable Trust?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Ronald William Lyster (Unclaimed Profile)
Estate Planning lawyer at Lyster, Inc.
Amendments are done in the same manner as the trust was done.  Some trusts will specify how they may be amended, so be certain to "follow the rules."  The person who has the power to amend the trust, and the trustee of the trust, need to sign the amendment.  If the original trust was notarized, the amendment should also be notarized.  If the trust is "irrevocable" by its terms, it may nevertheless be amended under certain circumstances - often requiring court approval.

How could I assume a property that has tax liens if the owner is dead and there are no other living relatives?

Answered by attorney Victor L. Waid (Unclaimed Profile)
Estate Planning lawyer at Law Office of Victor Waid
Obtain yourself a probate lawyer to probate the property to determine if there are any heirs, as the property will have to be sold to the highest bidder with the taxes being paid out of the sale proceeds with proceeds being divided between heirs if any, otherwise going to the state. You could earn a probate fee, and maybe bid on the property, if the court permits.

What is the legal procedure to obtain my final judgment order in a civil case?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Charles E. Clos (Unclaimed Profile)
Estate Planning lawyer at Clos, Russell & Wirth, P.C.
A clerk cannot deny you a copy. A judgment is a public document; appear at the clerk's office and demand a copy. You may have to pay a minimal copying fee.
