If one heir out of 6 refuses to sign for a house to be sold, is there a way the others can sell it without that signature?

I assume that title to the property is in the name of the heirs, and not still in the name of the decedent. If this is true, then the only way to force the sale of the property is through a lawsuit called a "partition." If the property is still in the name of the decedent, then a probate must be opened to sell the property.

I was with my man for 14 years he just passed away am I entitled to anything?

Answered by attorney David L. Leon

Possibly. You can claim a common law marriage if: 1. You were both 18+ 2. You agreed to be married (this can be inferred) 3. You held yourselves out to the public as married (i.e. he introduced you as his wife) 4. You were not already married. You would then have a claim to the community property portion of his estate. This is a fairly complicated proposition. Get legal help.

What can I do if my dad's second wife is making it hard for me to get his will?

It's unclear from your question whether the proper jurisdiction is NY or TX. If the proper jurisdiction is Texas, then you can use Texas Probate Code 75 to compel the person with possession of the Will to turn it over to the probate court. You will need to consult with a local probate attorney to assist you in getting started with this.
