Raised in the Woodland Hills/Tarzana area, Barry P. Goldberg followed a local path to the law, graduating from UCLA with a Political Science degree and earning his law degree from Loyola Law School Los Angeles in 1984. He was licensed that year and is admitted to practice in all California courts, federal district courts, the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court Bar. Mr. Goldberg has built his reputation through decades of hands-on advocacy, including numerous trials, hundreds of arbitrations and mediations, and appellate arguments in both the California Court of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit. He also gives back as a volunteer mediator and CRASH settlement officer for the Los Angeles Superior Courts. His practice is devoted to personal injury litigation with a distinctive focus on insurance coverage, and he has recovered millions for clients suffering serious injuries, including brain and spinal injuries. In 2005, after 17 years in a Beverly Hills practice with his brother, he founded Barry P. Goldberg, A Professional Law Corporation. He is a frequent lecturer and writer and is widely viewed as a California authority on UM/UIM claims—earning the nickname “The UM Guru.”
