Chris, a co-founding partner of the Firm, received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University and his law degree in May 1990 from Fordham University School of Law, where he was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal. Chris has been admitted to practice in New York since 1991. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Chris became associated with the firm of Westermann & Tryon in 1991, and a partner in January 1998. In 1998, Chris co-founded Westermann Hamilton & Sheehy. Chris has focused his practice in the areas of construction, surety, employment and general liability. Chris has conducted trials and hearings involving breach of contract, unfair competition, the Uniform Commercial Code and other matters. Member, Fordham University Law Journal, 1989-1990. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
