Jarod's path to family law started in Oklahoma, where he earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa in just three years. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma, once again qualifying for early graduation; a reflection of the same drive and focus he brings to every client's case.
During law school, Jarod studied at Oxford University and completed multiple internships with non-profit organizations, including a year-long position with Oklahoma's extension of HUD. These experiences deepened his commitment to accessible, people-centered advocacy, a philosophy that defines Heritage Family Lawyers today.
After graduating, Jarod moved to Colorado to specialize in family law and, in 2023, he expanded to Massachusetts. In 2024, Jarod decided to start his own firm and built a practice grounded in the belief that every family deserves straightforward counsel and genuine care. Jarod built Heritage Family Lawyers as a virtual family law firm, which allows him to continue to serve clients all across Colorado and Massachusetts.
Jarod understands that his clients are often navigating the most stressful chapter of their lives. He makes it a priority to be available, to communicate clearly, and to ensure every client fully understands the complexities of their case. For Jarod, this work is about family, and he treats every client as family.
That client-first conviction is what led Jarod to open his own firm. After growing weary of a legal culture that too often views clients as billable hours instead of people, he built Heritage Family Lawyers to be different: a virtual-first Colorado family law practice committed to efficiency, transparency, and exceptional advocacy.
