Background
Prior to joining Olive & Olive, Shelley served as the NCCU Intellectual Property Law Institute’s Trademark and
Copyright Fellow, as well as, the Supervising Attorney for the Trademark Clinic within the NCCU IP Clinic.
There, she trained and supervised student practitioners in U.S. trademark prosecution, advised clients on intellectual property issues for media and online content, including social media platforms, and created drawings for patent applications.
Off hours
Shelley is an amateur aerialist who has practiced the aerial hoop (lyra) since 2016.
Shelley is an avid knitter who knits sweaters for the small, senior dogs of Hope Animal Rescue who need special sweaters due to skin issues or diseases, as well as knitting for her two Chihuahuas Rico Bebop & Gia Sofia.

She is a member of the national co-ed arts & literary fraternity Delta Psi, commonly known as St. Anthony Hall.
Shelley volunteers at the creativity festival SPARKCON as poet for litSPARK section where she creates poetry on-demand for anyone who asks.
