Do I have to keep going back to the state because of DUI?

If you have an attorney talk to them, some Judges make provisions for out of state citizens. If no attorney the Judges policy will control. Some are more lenient than others.

I had a DUI but never did my DUI classes nor pay any court fees. It has been five years, but I want to put this behind me. What is my best course

If you did not complete your DUI class or pay your court fees, you may have a warrant for your arrest or a suspension on your license.  You really should call a criminal attorney in the county where this case arose to discuss it further.  If this occurred in Lee, Hendry, Charlotte, Desoto, Sarasota or Manatee counties, you can call my office and I will be happy to discuss it with you.

Can a lawyer withdraw from a FEDERAL CIVIL case if his client committed a state crime? (DUI)

Answered by attorney Eric J Trabin (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at The Trabin Law Firm, P.L.
A lawyer can withdraw from a civil case for a number of reasons. Some lawyers, civil and otherwise, will have a requirement in their contracts that their client refrain from any illegal or immoral behavior. If such a clause existed, then the lawyer has a much stronger basis to withdraw. Of course, it really depends on the reasons provided by the lawyer for his/her withdrawal.
