Can I get an extension on a DUI offense fine?

Hudson Thomas Bair
Answered by attorney Hudson Thomas Bair (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Kapsack & Bair, LLP
You need to contact your attorney, or hire a DUI lawyer, every county handles these matters differently, you may be able to make payments, you have to make arrangements through a third party to make payments. It sounds like you need to appear before the judge before you violate your probation by not complying with the terms and conditions of your probation.

I got drunk driving charges in Michigan what should I do?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
Michigan treats drunk driving very seriously, even for first time offenders. You are looking at up to 93 days in jail, one year probation, fines of $500 plus court costs and costs of prosecution and reimbursement to the police, six points on your driving record, $2,000 in driver responsibility fees, and possible vehicle immobilization or impound. Not to mention the collateral costs such as higher insurance premiums and possibly effecting your career, job, or schooling. A good DUI attorney will more than pay for himself in what he can potentially save you. It would be a wise investment.

What are the penalties for a second DUI?

You didn't need an attorney to figure out that you had a drinking problem the first time. You still don't need an attorney to figure out that you still have a drinking a problem.
