Can requirements for getting your license back after a DUI go void?

J Matthew Catchick

DUI/DWI lawyer at Catchick Law, P.C.
In order to get his driver license restored, your dad will have to prove at least one year of total sobriety, as well as verified attendance in a "structured support group. " The only support group I know of that is both well-recognized and free is AA. While it is possible for your dad to get his license restored without documented AA attendance, it will be VERY hard. Your dad should consult with an Attorney who concentrates in driver license restoration law to assist him. If he loses the hearing, he will have to wait an entire year before requesting another one.

What happens if my attorney withdraws from my case because I missed a court date?

Paul L. Whitfield

DUI/DWI lawyer at Paul Whitfield and Associates P.A.
There is probably a little more here than meets the eye. Why would your lawyer withdraw if you have paid him and you are a good client? It is your responsibility to keep him informed not his to search you out Talk to your lawyer and if you have paid him expect him to follow thru. Ifd he will not report him to the bar grievwance committee and tell the DA the truth and ask her to let you have another court date. Don't get caught in a tall tale with the DA or court.

If the DMV says yes, it does not matter who on-line thinks no, because the DMV can suspend your license.
