What are the penalties for felony evading in Texas?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen

In a car it's a felony. On foot it's a misdemeanor. Big difference! And depends on what the substance is for the range of punishment. Varies from misdemeanor to felony.

How much would it cost me to petition the court for early dismissal from deferred adjudication?

Answered by attorney Tristan Nicolas Legrande
DUI/DWI lawyer at LeGrande Law
Is this for a DWI related offense? If so, you are not eligible for early termination of supervision. See Texas Code of Criminal Procedure 42A.701(g)(1) (formerly 42.12 Section 20(b)) – “This article does not apply to a defendant convicted of: (1) an offense under Sections 49.04-49.08, Penal Code” If it is for a different type of offense, I could assist. You will have to contact me directly to discuss pricing (not supposed to do that on the Q&A section).

Will I be charged with a DUI after the fact?

Answered by attorney Nathaniel D Shafer
DUI/DWI lawyer at Natty Shafer Law
Yes, it is very likely they will cite you for a DUI now. Make sure you address is correct with the Drivers License Division so if they suspend your license, you know about it. Hire an attorney to help you.
