What can happen if I don’t get an attorney and if I do get one for a DUI case?

If you fail to get an attorney, and are found guilty, your license is suspended and employers ten years from now may use it to exclude you from a job.

Can we take our son off our insurance to keep our policy?

Answered by attorney Michael B Dungan (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Dungan, Lady & Dunga, PLLC
There is no reason to be loyal to any particular insurance company, they are all bad. Use this as an opportunity to shop around. No, your son does not have to be on your policy. And yes, you can name your son as an excluded driver on your policy so his age and conviction will not be used against you, but if you that, he CANNOT drive the car, EVER, if he does, and causes damage or hurts himself or someone else, you will NOT be covered by insurance.

When you get a DUI can they put a lock on your vehicle for 10 days?

Answered by attorney Leonard T Schwartz (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Law Offices of Slotnick & Schwartz
No. They do not lock your vehicle. In NJ, the Court can order an interlock device which, after your suspension, requires you to blow into it to unlock the ignition.
