How can u help me

Richard Keith Oliver
Answered by attorney Richard Keith Oliver (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at The Law Office of Rick Oliver
The degree to which any attorney can help you depends on several factors. As an initial matter, the prosecutors first have to be able to prove you were guilty of the offenses. If not, a good lawyer might be able to get one or more of the charges dismissed. If they can prove all three, then it becomes a matter of negotating with the State, and discussing the risks associated with any potential proposed resolution, with you. Ultimately, you're the one driving the boat. Our job is to give you the best advice we can, and to point out the icebergs, so to speak. Feel free to call me with additional questions. Best, Rick

I recently had a dwi and may lose my job because it show on my mvr. is there any way to get thta off my mvr?

M. Irene Wilson
Answered by attorney M. Irene Wilson (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at M. Irene Wilson, Attorney at Law
The answer depends on the disposition of the case.  If the DWI resulted in a conviction, the record cannot be sealed or expunged under Texas law and will show up during a background check.  If the DWI was dismissed, you should contact a lawyer to have the record expunged.  Good luck.  M. Why is my wife being charged with DWI BAC .08 if it's not for alcohol?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
DUI/DWI lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Depends on your county. Here in Harris that charge just lets me know that there is a blood, breath, or urine test associated with her DWI.
