How can u help me

Richard Keith Oliver
Answered by attorney Richard Keith Oliver (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at The Law Office of Rick Oliver
The degree to which any attorney can help you depends on several factors. As an initial matter, the prosecutors first have to be able to prove you were guilty of the offenses. If not, a good lawyer might be able to get one or more of the charges dismissed. If they can prove all three, then it becomes a matter of negotating with the State, and discussing the risks associated with any potential proposed resolution, with you. Ultimately, you're the one driving the boat. Our job is to give you the best advice we can, and to point out the icebergs, so to speak. Feel free to call me with additional questions. Best, Rick

Would the fingerprints taken, end up in the FBI database?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Cynthia Henley
If you were arrested, you fingerprints are in the FBI's database, as well as the local law enforcement database. If the case was dismissed, you can hire a lawyer to file a civil lawsuit called an expunction to remove all references to the incident from your record.

Is there a timeframe for police report to be turned over to District Attorney in Texas? If it's lost, what will happen?

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn
DUI/DWI lawyer at Law Offices of Kenneth G. Wincorn & Associates, P.C.
The answer depends on the status of the filing against your friend. a motion for speedy trial may be necessary. Another possibility is to get a bond hearing to reduce his bond. Work with his attormey to get results, he must have had one appointed to him by now
