Can i dispute having a ignition interlock device in my car for 2 years?

Edward J. Dimon
Answered by attorney Edward J. Dimon (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Edward J. Dimon
you should start with the prosecutor to see if he/she is of the opinion that the judge will change the interlock sentence. this would be the least expensive. if you are not successful, they you would have to appeal the the superior court in the county where the DUI conviction occurred. this would require a formal appeal and as such, would be more expensive. the appeal would cost $2500.  please let me know if we can help. ed dimon, esq. 732-797-1600

Can I be proven guilty just from a field test ?

Edward J. Dimon
Answered by attorney Edward J. Dimon (Unclaimed Profile)

Yes. The officer can testify to the failed 'field sobriety tests' and to your 'behavior'. The testimony would be particularly damaging if the officer is certifed to observe drug 'intoxication'. What si your driving record ? Was there an accident. There may be a solution. Please call to discuss. Ed Dimon 732-797-1600 ext 235

Is it normal to be fired for a DUI?

Jules N. Fiani

If you are an employee at will the employer is not required by law to give you a reason to discharge you unless you are in a union or you have an employment contract or your employment is governed by an employee handbook. In those cases discharge from employment is governed by a union contract, an employment contract, or the employee handbook. Otherwise an employer can discharge you without any reason whatsoever. If you have further questions, feel free to call.
