Can a DUI be dismissed if the cop tells you to drive the car over a few feet?

Answered by attorney Nathaniel D Shafer
DUI/DWI lawyer at Natty Shafer Law
That is not going to get your case dismissed. There may be other grounds to contest the DUI, but without knowing more about your case, it's hard to say. You should hire an attorney as soon as possible.

What will happen if I wasn’t able to pay my court cost?

It depends. If you have had considerable time, and considerable excuses, then the judge may be at the end of his/her rope. If not, then you get an extension.

I got a DUI in 2008 and one in 2009 that means I have four points. Would those points stay for ten years?

Answered by attorney Steven M Dodge (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at The Law Office of Steven M. Dodge, PLLC
The points fall off after two years. However, your license revocation will remain in place until you successfully appeal to the Driver Appeal and Assessment Division of the Secretary of State. You are eligible to request a hearing after your (one year) revocation expires. The process of filing the correct paperwork to win your appeal is fairly tricky. The above assumes that you don't have 12 or more points on your record.
