What can an attorney do for my DUI case?

Answered by attorney Nathaniel D Shafer
DUI/DWI lawyer at Natty Shafer Law
Every DUI case is different so it's hard to say what an attorney could do specifically for you, but there are many common problems that attorneys can help you with. First, an attorney can spot possible police violations by the police and possible get evidence thrown out. Next, an attorney can prevent a prosecutor from trampling on your rights, which is an all too common occurrence for people who don't have an attorney. Also, an attorney can negotiate a possible plea deal for you. These are just some of the ways an attorney could help you, but without knowing the specifics of your case, it's difficult to say how you could be helped.

Are my odd of getting out of the first time DUI pretty good?

Answered by attorney Marshall S. Tauber
DUI/DWI lawyer at Law Offices of Marshall S. Tauber
The answer depends upon the actual evidence that the police have against you and not upon your clean record, etc. I advise that you hire an experienced attorney well versed in DUI defense.

Should I plead guilty to a DUI at arraignment if no BAC evidence and I know it will be extreme?

Hudson Thomas Bair
Answered by attorney Hudson Thomas Bair (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Kapsack & Bair, LLP
If you are a DUI lawyer or physician and can calculate your blood alcohol concentration accurately, and know that there are no possible defenses, no constitutional violations then maybe you should consider this written by Mark Twain, "a lawyer who represents himself, has a fool for a client." It seems to me that you should discuss your case with a DUI defense attorney before deciding to plead your self guilty.
