What happens if my attorney withdraws from my case because I missed a court date?

I strongly suggest that you contact another attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your situation. He/she would then be in a better position to analyze your case and advise you of your options. Do not speak to the D.A. or anyone else without an present.

Hire an attorney. If they catch you can go to jail and your family responsibilities will not count. Take care of this.

Is there a statue of limitation on dui cases?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
First, the statute of limitations is a non issue in your case because you were charged within two months. So, you had a chance to get all your ducks in a row, and file a speedy trial demand. SO, five years later a trial is into a surprise to you. Second, they don't know that you were not driving, otherwise they would have not charged you. I love when people that know what is in someone else's head cannot even afford the attorney that will represent them, or the doctor that will operate on them, but they consider themselves smart. Smart means you pay for what you get. In five years, you have into earned $ 3500 for an attorney.
