Can i dispute having a ignition interlock device in my car for 2 years?

Edward J. Dimon
Answered by attorney Edward J. Dimon (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Edward J. Dimon
you should start with the prosecutor to see if he/she is of the opinion that the judge will change the interlock sentence. this would be the least expensive. if you are not successful, they you would have to appeal the the superior court in the county where the DUI conviction occurred. this would require a formal appeal and as such, would be more expensive. the appeal would cost $2500.  please let me know if we can help. ed dimon, esq. 732-797-1600

Is it normal to be fired for a DUI?

Seth J Bloom
Answered by attorney Seth J Bloom (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Bloom Legal LLC
It will depend largely upon their company policy and how they handle criminal records. It certainly seems strange that they would have hired you and then fired you if they were aware of a DUI conviction the whole time. You should consult with a local employment attorney to determine whether you might have an employment discrimination case.

Does a DUI hurt my chances of getting citizenship?

Answered by attorney Eric M. Mark
DUI/DWI lawyer at The Law Office of Eric M. Mark
It does not prevent him from legalizing, but it will be considered and must be disclosed. The biggest problem you have is that he is here illegally now, and that is a very difficult obstacle to overcome. You need a lawyer to help you through that process if you want to succeed.
