What reasonable amount is to pay an attorney to resolve a 4th degree DWI?

Check out AVVO.com for lawyers. DWI is a very difficult area of law and obviously you have at least 2 priors. DWI cases are time consuming and complicated and many really good lawyers handle only those types of cases. THAT is the type of lawyer you need.

Can I still get a DUI if I smoked pot the day before I got pulled over?

Pot, especially if you are a user and not a one time try it guy, stays in your system for about 6 weeks. I do not know if it still affect you, my gut opinion is that it does not, but is detectable in tests. It is a very interesting issue, there are, I'm sure, studies on the length of "impairment, there must have been a reason the HP pulled you over, the "defense" may be in the stop itself and/or the circumstances surrounding it.

What should I do after my uncle had my car seized?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)

In Michigan, you would be able to have a showcause hearing infront of the judge showing that while the car was your's, you did not knowingly give him permission to drive while you knew he was drunk. Consult with a DUI attorney in your area to see if this is a possibility where you live.
