Can I be charged with DUI on prescription medication if I was given the wrong dosage?

Answered by attorney Nathaniel D Shafer
DUI/DWI lawyer at Natty Shafer Law
You may have a chance of successfully challenging the DUI. Hire a lawyer immediately. You can argue that you were "involuntarily intoxicated" since you did not knowingly take the wrong dosage. With a good lawyer, you might keep your record clean.

You need to hire a lawyer. A good DUI lawyer. You need to fight your case. A .09% or .08% is incredibly winnable. When the stakes are high, remember if you think hiring a professional is expensive try hiring an amateur.

Can a person do jail time instead of DUI classes and fees?

Hudson Thomas Bair
Answered by attorney Hudson Thomas Bair (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Kapsack & Bair, LLP
That is a question to ask at sentencing. I know that some of the fines can be converted into jail but some must be paid, the Judge will know how you can work that part out. The DUI school is required if you receive a DUI, a Judge may waive it but the DMV won't, if you were convicted of a DUI.
