Lindsay Crawford has advised developers and financiers on all aspects of project development and financing across the Middle East, Central Asia, and Australia. He regularly advises on high-value utility-scale renewable energy, water treatment, and social infrastructure projects, including, most recently, EWEC’s Al Ajban Solar, ADNOC & TAQA’s Project Wave, and Saudi Aramco’s Tanajib Residential Camp expansion.

Lindsay is highly skilled in negotiating complex finance and project documents, overseeing due diligence, and structuring risk allocations that support his client’s objectives. He advises on all stages of the project life-cycle (including investments and divestments), and ensures projects are not only bankable but aligned with commercial and regulatory expectations.

He is widely regarded for delivering strategic, commercially focused advice, and is consistently praised by clients for his responsiveness, technical acumen, and collaborative working style.

Lindsay was at a major global law firm in Dubai, where he has been based since 2020, before joining Greenberg Traurig. Prior to that, he worked at a leading Australian firm.

• Currently advising the lenders to a decentralized decarbonization infrastructure business in relation to the portfolio financing of its assets across the GCC.

• Currently advising the Sponsor in relation to two wind IPPs in Oman.

• Advised lenders to the US$ 2 billion award-winning project financing of ADNOC and TAQA’s Project Wave, which comprises a new seawater treatment facility and distribution to provide sustainable water supply for ADNOC’s onshore operations.°

• Advised lenders to the US$ 1 billion award-winning project financing of EWEC’s Al Ajban PV3 Project, a 1.5GW solar photovoltaic IPP in Abu Dhabi.°

• Advised the lenders project financing the Saudi National Water Company’s LTOM Package 7, comprising the refurbishment and maintenance of 4 STPs in the Al Ahsa Governorate, KSA.°

• Advised lenders in relation to the project financing of the award-winning Tanajib Residential Camp Expansion procured by Saudi Aramco in Tanajib, KSA.°

• Advised a Saudi developer on the portfolio financing of multiple new data centers.°

• Advised a Saudi developer on the partial divestment of its interests in a number of utilities projects, including 3 PPP Projects.°

• Advised the lender to a Chinese conglomerate in connection with a US$ 300 million trade facility made available to the local subsidiary of a sovereign oil company.°

• Advised Masdar in relation to the ongoing aspects of the Samarkand, Jizzakh and Sherabad renewables projects in Uzbekistan.°

• Advised Masdar on the World Bank guarantee aspects of its project financing of the Nur-Bukhara PV Project, a 250MW solar photovoltaic IPP and 63MW / 126MWh capacity battery energy storage system solar in Uzbekistan.°

• Advised Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company LLC (IHC) in relation to certain financing aspects of its AED 1.8 billion acquisition of 50% of Kalyon Enerji.°

• Advised lenders to ACWA Power and Gulf Investment Corporation on the financing and development of the 900MW DEWA Phase V solar project in Dubai.°

• Advised the lenders in relation to the financing of a portfolio of district cooling plants by Saudi Tabreed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.°

• Advised the lenders in relation to both commercial and Islamic equity bridge funding arrangements for the Jubail 3B IWP being procured by Saudi Water Partnership Company.°

• Advised SCB as arranger and document bank for the consortium led by ACWA Power in respect of the Sudair IPV Project procured by the Saudi Public Investment Fund.°

• Advised SCB as arranger and document bank for the consortium in respect of the Ghubrah III IWP Project procured by the Oman Power & Water Procurement Company.°

• Advised Bank of China in relation to ACWA Power’s equity bridge financing for the Tashkent Riverside PV+BESS project in Uzbekistan.°

• Advised the lenders in relation to the ongoing financing aspects of the Taweelah IWP.°

• Advised SCB as lender in relation to a financing for the Government of Sharjah’s infrastructure development authority, Mubadara.°

• Advised Sponsors and the Project Company on all aspects of the 48ML/day Springvale Mount Piper Power Station Water Treatment Plant, including later restructure of the project.°

• Advised Cooper Energy on all aspects of the ongoing project development and financing (including its Reserve Base Lending facility) of offshore and onshore gas assets, including the redevelopment of the Orbost Gas Plant and Sole offshore gas field.°

• Advised lenders to Pacific Hydro for the project financing of the Haughton Solar Farm in Queensland, Australia.°

• Advised lenders to Pacific Hydro for the project financing of the Crowlands Wind Farm in Victoria, Australia.°

• Advised Anchorage Capital Group and CarVal Investors in relation to debt and equity funding packages to Tellus Holdings Limited in connection with the Sandy Ridge Hazardous Waste Storage Facility in Western Australia.°

• Advised the consortium of private equity funds led by Tribeca Investment Partners in relation to the financing of the Bald Hill lithium and tantalum mine and processing plant in Western Australia.°

• Advised Jadestone Energy Inc on financing the acquisition of the Montara Oil Project (offshore of Western Australia) from PTT Exploration and Production Company Limited.°

• Advised the consortium of private equity funds led by Tribeca Investment Partners on distressed debt workout arrangements in respect of Alita Resources Limited. Advised Equity Trustees Limited (as security agent) in relation to distressed debt workout arrangements, the appointment of receivers in respect of Alita Resources Limited and subsequent refinancing.°
